METHODOLOGY

Cohort selection in five steps.

STEP / 01

Universe

Pull all wells in basin/formation/year of interest from third-party data provider.

Step / 02

Filters

Apply lateral length, proppant intensity, completion design filters to comparable subset.

Step / 03

Treatment group

Identify the Activ-treated wells; isolate by pad / well ID.

Step / 04

Control group

Match controls to treated wells; constrain by operator’s specificity.

STEP / 05

Normalize + Report

Normalize by lateral length where appropriate; report results with confidence band.
